Noil silk is a spun silk yarn made out of the smaller protruding fibres from silk filaments. Separated and then spun in a thicker yarn, noil silk possesses the softness of cotton and a muted sheen from silk. This fabric was handwoven in Bhagalpur, Bihar by weavers organised by Fatima Radiowala of GlocalWeaves, who works with indigenous handloom weaving communities across India.
